30 ROUNDS

This term the band has been working on its usual repertoire of pieces for all three sections and we have managed to fit in a reasonable amount of rehearsals into the busy autumn term schedule. With Doctors Day approaching, we have been focusing particularly on Heart of Oak for the Royal Navy Honour Guard and will be playing this for the Master of the Merchant Taylor’s Company on the day. On Inspection Day in the summer, we plan to play British Grenadiers for the Army section, Heart of Oak for the Royal Navy section, Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines for the RAF section and Arromanches as an additional piece . As always, we have musicians from all three sections, and are always looking for more volunteers, specifically those who play a bass instrument. As of January we will be opening the band to non cadets within the schools giving more musicians the chance to perform within the Band.
