UNITY CLUB Unity Club is a club devoted to creating computer games using the Unity games engine. We meet every Thursday and a group of students lead the activities, sharing tips for programming, level design, 3D modelling and artwork creation. Everyone is welcome from any year group, all that's required is an interest in making cool things. Key Qualities: Creative, Cognitive, Mindfulness Year Groups: 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 Time: After school Days: Thursday Location: CO51 Frequency: Weekly Staff: Mr MacLeod VEX ROBOTICS Students work in teams to design, build and code a robot to take part in regional robotics competitions against other schools. Students taking part will gain first hand experience of mechanical design principles and develop an understanding of how to create complex coding sequences. As this is a team activity, students will also develop some softer skills including being able to manage time and resources and learning how to work with others and negotiate team roles. The o cial club meeting time will be after school on Friday, but teams are encouraged to make progress on their project through the week during lunchtimes and after school drop-in sessions.
