Thirds Geographers Try Innovation to Zero

Geographers in the Thirds have been learning about Climate Change in the atmosphere and flood risk in the UK this year.

They took inspiration from the Danish Architect, Bjarke Ingels, who is designing human habitats for the future eustatic rise and helping existing settlements to adapt to the increasing risk. In their last lesson of term this Thirds class enjoyed collaborating to creatively explore innovative solutions to sea level rise - from amphibious houses to floating cities! They tried to incorporate features that meet the needs of people today as well as in the future - achieving the Sustainable Development Goals they learnt about in their study of Demography and Development.
