Primary School Hockey Day
On Thursday 6th June, Merchant Taylors' Hockey department were delighted to welcome one hundred and sixty Year 3 and four pupils from five local primary schools for an hour and a half of hockey training.
The weather was perfect as our Lower Sixth hockey players took the students to the astros, and introduced many of them to their first experience of hockey. Schools included Sarratt, Warren Dell, Oxhey Wood, St Mary's and Colnbrook (a special educational needs school, whose students were coached by our PHAB members). Feedback from the schools were excellent, and the students left full of positivity. A huge thank you to all of the Lower Sixth students, who gave up their time to coach. They did a magnificent job in an unfamiliar environment, and their energy and enthusiasm really shone through. It was definitely an example of MTS students at their best.
