Drama

Drama has a strong tradition at MTS and there are several alumni who have succeeded in film, television and theatre. Most recently these include actor Riz Ahmed who was Oscar-nominated this year for the film ‘Sound of Metal’.
Boys can study the subject in the Lower School. Many boys go on to study GCSE Drama and we are introducing A Level Theatre Studies this September.
There is a busy programme of co-curricular Drama with the Junior Play, Duologues Competition, Senior Play and House Drama.
Boys collaborate with girls from St Helen’s, most recently in a stunning production of Les Misérables School Edition.
For those looking to study at a higher level, boys are supported in joining the National Youth Theatre and three MTS actors were awarded places there this year.
